AFNE Volunteer Pilots & Ground Crew support NY Patient Access Life-Saving Cancer Treatment
With the rich fall season approaching, as is a season of sensation in nature! As everything erupts with splendor and all the leaves give their grand finale, may we appreciate every attribute it brings to offer!
With this season of thanks, we ask that you take a moment to read about an appreciative woman from Beaver Dams, NY we are supporting. Georgene recently had surgery to remove a rare form of Cancer at a medical facility almost four (4) hours away from home. With mounting medical costs, she began her search for help and thankfully landed upon Angel Flight NE.
Last Friday, NJ-based AFNE Volunteer Pilot Michael P. flew Georgene to her surgery and NY-based AFNE Volunteer Pilot, Greg B. will fly her home tomorrow.
As with all of our patients, we are here for Georgene for as long and as often as she needs our help and to ensure the best possible outcome. We are always so grateful to our volunteer pilots for generously donating their time, talents, fuel, planes and compassion. As well, we are blessed to have the support of the Alexion Charitable Foundation who ensures that ground mobility is available for our patients who can’t afford it.
Mission/Flight requests – like Georgene’s – happen daily and we are privileged to have the opportunity to not only fly but deeply care for all who turn to us for help at difficult times in their lives. As with all of our patients, we are here for Georgene for as long and as often as she needs our help and to ensure the best possible outcome.
Thank You and God Bless You for your support and belief in our healing mission. With your help and belief in our mission, we are able to ensure that distance is never an obstacle for patients, like Georgene.
Warmest regards,
Fr. Larry & the AFNE Staff
